Third Post is a charm

Just in case you didnt see my other two posts about her I really really like Oh Land. She is blowing up at SXSW right now and getting some serious attention and promotion on the web. She just realized an acoustic set accompanied by strings that makes my ears smile

Also if you havent seen the new adidas commercial, you need to. It features a new unreleased Justice song in the background and all sorts of players, skaters, singers, etc.

Best song of the year

I know that, given that we are only 2 months into 2011, that statement may seem a little ridiculous, but after listening to this song tell me that you dont agree. The song is Equestrian by U.S. Royalty and would bathe in it if possible.

My new favorite genre

I have discovered my new favorite genre of music... It is indy electro pop bands that happen to have lead singers that are tall blonde and supermodel-looking . So far I have only found two bands that fall under this new designation but am always looking

The first is as mentioned previously Oh Land
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4wHMORwlHY

The second is a band named Florrie

LaBlogotheque

I just finished watching Band of Brothers the TV series for the second time (why?.. because I am a better American than you) and although it confirms that the French are useless in war this video proves they have other, musical uses....

click here and be sure to watch in 720

The band is Local Natives, (great new CD btw) if you like you can fast forward the video 30 seconds to when they start playing. The youtube account that shot this is called lablogothque and if you have time on your hands and want to submerge yourself in deep depth of folk you should check out their other vids.

A perfect song for frolicking

This song would only work as a soundtrack to frolicking through a field. any other applications are incorrect and inappropriate.

Covers for Lovers

One of the many random ways that I love to pointlessly waste my time is to take a song I already like and scour the intertubes and listen to covers of it by random people. I just find it fascinating how someone else's voice and interpretation can completely change a song and in some rare cases become something pretty amazing. Here are a few of the random ones that I have run across.
